Programme Description

Join experienced Pilates and Yoga instructor Jade in this 6-class programme for back care.

Over the course of this programme, Jade will guide you through exercises to stretch both your upper and lower back, these are perfect if you spend increased periods of time sitting at a desk.

She will also guide you through exercises to strengthen your posterior chain. The posterior chain includes all muscles found on the back of your body, from the back of your head right down to your heels. These muscles are super-important for stability and strength.

You will work through exercises which activate your abdominal muscles because we need to take a balanced approach. If we’re working on those back muscles, we need to make sure the opposite ones are doing their job too.

All exercises are performed from a seated position and are perfect additions to your routine if you struggle with back pain or injury.

Jade recommends to do 2 classes a week to start noticing results.

Equipment

A chair is required to follow these classes.

Remember to stay hydrated. Water helps fuel your muscles, so drinking before, during and after exercise will boost your energy levels, and may help to prevent cramp.

I started my career as a personal trainer in 2006, over the years I have been so privileged to be involved in so many people’s paths to a healthier life.

I found Yoga a few years later in 2013 when I was going through a very tough period in my life. Yoga helped me find myself and rebuild as a happier version of me, which has not only benefitted me, but my family too. I trained in Hatha Yoga in 2018.

Pilates and Yoga have changed my life and altered my path. I love guiding people through practices in the hope that anyone joining me on the mat finds some benefit.
