The slow controlled movements of Pilates can sometimes be misleading to those unfamiliar, make no mistake, Pilates is a tough full body workout that provides the following benefits:
- Extremely effective for improving core strength
- Low impact movements which are ideal for people with conditions or past injuries
- Excellent for improving flexibility, balance, and body control
- Great for increased muscle tone and weight loss
Pilates is an extremely effective way to get a full body workout without risking injury.
Rebecca recommends doing 2 classes per week to maximise results. Make sure you always warm up before starting a class.
By the end of this programme you will be fitter, stronger, and leaner.
Ideally you will use a yoga matt fo follow this programme.
Remember to stay hydrated. Water helps fuel your muscles, so drinking before, during and after exercise will boost your energy levels, and may help to prevent cramp.
Rebecca Horner has been in the fitness industry for over 25 years. After performing at the national level in gymnastics she has gone on to an extremely successful career as a fitness instructor.
Rebecca has more than 12 years experience as a Pilates instructor and more than 4 years experience teaching yoga. She is one of the most highly respected fitness instructors in the UK and regularly teaches new instructors in many disciplines including Exercise to Music and BarreConcept.
